Years of business experience have taught Jonathan that Hong Kong needs innovative thinking to meet new challenges. His vision is about transforming entrepreneurial spirit into driving force for Hong Kong's future.

Entrepreneurial Spirit

Jonathan Lamport is the founder and CEO of A-Grade Energy Limited, specializing in solar glass technology and Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV). His entrepreneurial journey began around 1990 with expanding his family's iron casting manufacturing business across the EU, Africa, and Asia, before pioneering green energy solutions that transform building surfaces into power-generating assets.

Professional Achievement

With extensive business experience, Jonathan Lamport has served HKGCC for more than 10 years. He was the Chairman of the Asia, Africa & Middle East Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) (2022-2024), fostering strong relationships with consulates and trade representatives to create opportunities along the Belt and Road regions. Currently, he serves on HKGCC's China Committee, Europe Committee, and SME Committee. He is also a Council Member of the Hong Kong Exporters' Association, Vice President of the Hong Kong Real Property Federation (HKRPF), and was appointed as Hong Kong Convention Ambassador by Meetings and Exhibitions Hong Kong (MEHK) and member of the Wholesale and Retail Task Force (Business Facilitation Advisory Committee). As a representative of Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong, he is currently running for the 2025 Legislative Council General Election - Commercial (First) Functional Constituency.

Community Commitment

Jonathan has consistently promoted Hong Kong's international trade cooperation while actively engaging in community service. He has served as a board member of the Little Life Warrior Society supporting children with serious illnesses and is a past president of the Rotary Club of Hong Kong Island East. With his entrepreneurial spirit, resilience, international perspective, and extensive business experience, he continues to serve society with empathy and contribute to Hong Kong's prosperous development.
